A nation-wide Peruvian nonprofit organization, the Movimiento Manuela Ramos is dedicated to creating a future where women and men interact in an equitable manner, and where they have equal opportunities for economic (and other) fulfillment.

Manuela Ramos' microfinance program, CrediMUJER, serves borrowers in 5 Peruvian provinces, focusing primarily on rural and peri-urban markets. Its headquarter offices are in Lima, Peru.

Our Mission

Manuela Ramos' mission is to contribute to the promotion of vulnerable women's economic rights through the support of female entrepreneurs who have limited access to resources. We do this through the supply of financial services and the promotion of savings. Our financial products are based on solidarity guaranteees. Manuela Ramos works in rural and marginalized urban areas in five Peruvian provinces. Honesty, respect, solidarity, responsibility, and democracy are the daily practices that guide our work.

    Communal Banks

    Groups loan and savings methodology in which solidarity guarantees and social control are the basis for operation. We have been operating since 1997 thanks to a Cooperation Agreement with USAID. CrediMujer's Communal Banks are created with the aim of offering our clients greater satisfaction through:

  • Loan Campaigns: Fast-track parellell loans aimed at funding school registration, patron saint festivities, anniversaries, Christmas, and others
  • Fixed Asset or Working Capital Loans: Fast-track parallel loans aimed at funding the purchase of fixed assets and working capital.
  • School Loan: Parallel loan aimed at funding the purchase of school supplies, proms or graduations
  • Mientras tanto (Interim) Loan

  • Group loan for 3 to 5 members with whom we work, that have not had the opportunity to form a complete community bank, and thus are seeking a loan in the interim - "mientras tanto"
  • Help your son/daughter start his/her own business

  • Loan aimed at supporting new generations in the development of their business activities.
