Nicaragua > Fundación Leon 2000

Foundation Leon 2000 is an organization with reliable service and credit leaders targeted at the micro, small and medium enterprises. We support the socio-economic development of the west of the country, providing financial and non-financial services that are agile, efficient and of high quality.

Our credit programs provide advice according to the needs of your business and ability to pay. If you want to grow, we want to be part of your growth. We provide financial advice and assistance to the areas of Production, Trade, Industry, and Service.

We have two notable social agendas currently in use. The "Merry Christmas" program, whose goal is to offer “gifts of smiles”, provides toys to children living in extreme poverty. The second program, “Sponsor a Child", aims to provide a supportive education for children in Nicaragua. With the help of people who share our motto, "with your help, I can change my life", the sponsorship is currently aimed at 12 study centers in areas of extreme poverty.

Recently, the Foundation Leon 2000 received Recognition for Excellence, a prize that is awarded each year by the Katalysis Network to partner microfinance institutions that have shown strong financial performance and achieved high performance standards in microfinance development. Additionally, the Mix Market, an organization that reviews the overall transparency, quality, and reliability of a microfinance institution’s process and information, recognized Foundation Leon 2000 with the highest award of five stars (twice; in 2005 and 2006).

Please explore our institution and engage more dutifully with our motto, "Financial to Social Responsibility.”
