Loan Update Entrepreneur: Perpetua Lagrada Location: Camiguin , Province, Philippines Ms. Perpetua Lagrada used the disbursed loan to purchase more fishing nets for her and her husband's fishing business. Her family is able to catch more fish and increase their overall income as a result. She and her husband currently owns three fishing boats that are used by her family. The fish that her family catches are sometimes sold to Bohol, a two hour ferry ride away from Camiguin. A few days ago they caught a fish that weighed between 2-3 kilograms; she sells a kilogram of fish for $50 pesos. Perpetua extends her thanks for the loan. After she finishes paying off her current loan, she hopes to receive a bigger loan so she can purchase more fishing nets for her family to use. Perpetua's son is the husband of Ann Lagrada, who owns (with her husband) a specialized business catching and selling sea cucumbers.
