Ali buys inventory for his store

Entrepreneur: Youssef
Location: Chweyfat, Lebanon

Yousef is a car mechanic specializing in minibuses used mostly for school children and public transportation. He sells spare parts in his store and provides repair services. He has four people working for him in suburb of Beirut. Yousef used the loan to buy more inventory for his business.

Yousef’s work is quite stable as minibuses are a common sight used to move people within the city as well as between towns. Minibuses became popular as a cheaper way of getting around as gasoline prices increased. His clients are always professional drivers and this reduces the need to cater to customers with little knowledge of his work.

Yousef has recently registered his company and obtained an import license. He is planning to begin importing auto parts directly from suppliers in Korea to save money and to ensure he obtained higher quality items.
