Teresa welcomes two new additions to her family, 2 new video game machines. These machines are a cheap form of entertainment for children and adults. Today Teresa’s store was packed with smiling children waiting to play arcade games.
She used 10,000 pesos for her loan to buy two new video game machines. The other money was used to purchase inventory for her store. She can make as much as 700 to 800 pesos per machine per day charging customers 1 peso for each play. In addition to the games, Teresa will sometimes rent out her videoke, video karaoke, machine for 500 pesos a day. Teresa’s grocery store is doing well, but margins are not nearly as high for that business.
Teresa hopes to some day save enough money to renovate her store, which sits very low to the road and open a larger grocery store.
